Intro
By my title you would think I am convincing you to buy used gym equipment. Well…In some ways I am. As long as you understand what you are getting.

The Title (Remanufactured, Refurbished, Cleaned & Serviced, Used)
These terms are used very loosely in the fitness industry. Everyone has their own interpretation, however I am going to give you our descriptions so you can get a baseline while you shop:

Remanufactured: This is the top end. These products should be almost NEW! No aesthetic blemishes, powder coated, new shrouds, new belts, new bearings, new overlays. Not many companies have the capabilities for this standard.

Refurbished/Certified Pre-Owned: This is he next best standard. These units should have all the above taken care of minus powder coating. Also many parts, such as bearings are tested, and if in good condition are salvaged. Operating belts and running belts should always be replaced.

Cleaned & Serviced: These units are simply serviced as they would be in a gym or home setting by a tech. These units are checked, damaged parts are replaced and the unit is cleaned inside and out.

Used: These units typically work and are cleaned. No replacement parts added
